LADONNA VICK, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

LEE ARTHUR JOHNSON CENTER

LaDonna D. Vick, received her Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of LaVerne, LaVerne, California and in 2012, graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Masters in Public Administration from South University, Savannah, Georgia.

 

Ms. Vick has over 20 years’ experience in educational programs for children and youth in the United States and abroad.  As a military spouse, she developed and implemented programs at Department of Defense Schools in Japan and Italy for elementary school students.  As Executive Director, of the Lee Arthur Johnson Center (lajcenter.org), she runs several programs through The Lee Arthur Center for Education Programs (TLCE) including Girls Code B.L.U.E. (girlscodeblue.com) a coding club for girls ages 7-17 and S.T.E.A.M. + C Summer Learning Camp where she lead the charge in creating and developing an atmosphere of learning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

 

Students ages 5-11were exposed to S.T.E.M through

innovative and hands-on instruction giving them lifelong tools they will use throughout their life and school career.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JOSEPH VICK, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

COMPUTER SCIENCE

Joseph Vick, received his Bachelors of Science from the College of Engineering, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.  Mr. Vick served over 20 years in the United States Air Force in Aircraft Maintenance where he taught at the Aircraft Maintenance Officer’s Course.  He also served as a Math and Science tutor as well as a Big Brother.  Mr. Vick has also held positions in Construction (Residential), Drafting (Technical Drawing), and as a Safety Inspector.  His interests includes building and fixing computers, coding, and designing homes.  He currently teaches computer science in the Girls Code B.L.U.E. program at LAJC.  Mr. Vick has devoted his life to service.
